Blair Hebert is a Canadian singer songwriter living in Vancouver BC. Blair is acknowledged by both fans and peers to be a solid performer, a gifted songwriter and an accomplished guitarist with a warm emotive melodic voice. Blair is your neighbor. He’s the guy who loves to play his guitar and plays it well. Like other gifted musicians, He is an artist who shows up at a benefit concert to contribute or perform for charity. He is the one you ask to play at your children’s birthday party or elementary school. He sometimes plays classic tunes for the elderly in nursing homes or on a hospital ward. Blair was the 16 year old kid with a guitar attached to his arm you knew in high school. He is now a father of two, composing and singing songs in the presence of his children and always with a song at bed time. He has been a pub musician singing covers to sell more beer to anyone listening. His name is not well known, but he has performed for many thousands of listeners across Canada and the US during his many years as a career musician. Today Blair is known as a Jazz artist who fronts a five piece combo The Swinging Detectives since 1998. In 2006 he self produced his first full length songwriters CD titled KNOW drawing on songs he has performed for years as a solo acoustic act. Using many of Vancouver’s finest musicians, the CD is an eclectic groove driven acoustic based compilation with tangy B3 organ and tasty percussion throughout, oh yes and accordion too.
